Wordmaster is an addicting anagram game where the object is to form as many real words as possible based on a scrambled 6-letter word.
With a massive dictionary of 30,000 words from the Official Tournament and Club Word List, over 15,000 possible puzzles await you.
The goal of Wordmaster is to help the player learn new words and eventually master the English vocabulary. To this end, Wordmaster gives you two ways to win each round: solve one of the 6-letter words or solve at least 50% of all words in the round.

Until recently, this was a challenging and enjoyable game. Perhaps a week ago there began the intrusion of ad popups after a game was finished trying to get you to download other games. It can't be stopped or x'd out for about 30". The only option is to close out the app. It is so annoying that the only option is to delete the app and find another word game.

I know it's free, but the full screen ads are awful! I used to love the no frills format and didn't mind the ads at the bottom (hey gotta finance it), but the random full screen ads after a round are incredibly annoying. The skip ad button also doesn't seem to work half the time.

I loved this game and I played it every day. Then came the latest update (January 2023) and now I'm seeing full-screen video ads between levels. Maybe I'll get lucky and my review will convince the dev to revert this change. If not, well, it's been fun. I'll find a different game and this one can wear my 1-star review as a badge of honor. Edit: A new update landed today, but it still displays video ads, just not every time. 1-star rating remains. I would buy a paid version without ads.
